October 2000. Dumping ballast along the track west of Antonito. The 487 is slowly and carefully pushing two hopper cars of ballast. Carlos is watching Mad Dog Collins who is walking alongside the cars controling the flow of rock. A tie has been inserted across the track in front of the rear truck of the car dumping to spread the ballast.
